Oct 29, 2011 - Gilberto Braga, a great brazilian soap opera writer, have written some stories that have this symphony - in the end, as a soundtrack for a murder! ["Insensato Coração" [2011], for instance, an amazing thriller!]

Nov 23, 2011 - Except her breasts and lips are silicone. But she really didn't need it, she's beautiful anyway. Maybe too "hollywood" now.

Dec 5, 2011 - Exactly as you did I've noticed this music at first in Zardos and I just loved it from the beginning. Its a great version here ...I like Scarlett too, of course BUT I cant find sense in this slide-show connected with Beethovens Alegretto (actually I don't like to see slide-shows when I just want to hear great music - my problem)

Dec 5, 2011 - nah, there is no Beethoven film material, so combine the beautiful things for the ear with something nice for eye and mind. to get the best out of music with no motionpicture aviable:)

Dec 27, 2011 - Softs need to be after Good interpretation, but it seems feeble and brittle, like it could fall apart any moment because it's faster than the tempo that it is normally portrayed

Jan 16, 2012 - The version played here is being played from a new-ish urtext published by Bärenreiter based on research done by Jonathan Del Mar, who based the tempi on what Beethoven probably intended. You can search the Bärenreiter site for more info on this edition.

Feb 14, 2012 - The opening sequence up to the switch to major tonality is the most macabre I've ever heard it done. It's like a skeletal dance this way. The usual almost orgasmic sense at the big crescendo is sacrificed to punctuated rhythm almost to the degree of hiatus , and thin, austere playing. He's definitely going for a colder , more chilling effect.

May 12, 2012 - Tempo is too fast if you think you know better than Beethoven. This recording is very close to his metronome markings. Maybe the people that have slowed it down reflect today's society. Arrogant and ignorant.

Oct 22, 2011 - More than any composer for me, Beethoven expresses feelings and imagination that transport you to where ever. Only a genius can do that.
