Apr 27, 2008 - It doesn't get any better than this - Milt Hinton sure was one of his kind and his photography was as beautiful as his bass playing.

Jun 17, 2008 - Milt was born in 1910, so here he is running onstage at 80 plus years old......and when he gets there he proceeds to bring the house down!!! I had the priviledge of working gigs with him in NYC at around this period in his career. He was the most recorded bassist in the history of music. And a real gentleman!

Aug 11, 2008 - You ought to check a book that has recently been published- it's called "Playing the Changes",by Mr Hinton-full of his photos and stories about his life as a musician, having played on more than NINE HUNDRED record dates! Milt is not only a pretty good photographer- he is a very entertaining writer as well! HIGHly reccomended!

Jan 24, 2009 - Milt was such a prince of a person. He played bass, along with Derek Smith on piano, Mousey Alexander on drums, Danny Stiles on trumpet, and Carmen Leggio on tenor at our wedding. Had to be the world's best wedding band ever. Milt was so kind, he carried Mousey's drums because Mousey had a bad heart. Judge, you will live in our hearts forever!

Jul 10, 2009 - Hi jazzciggarette, Actually, I think the reefer man was Al Morgan, the bassist for Cab just before Milt Hinton.
