One may then deduce that the star of the video is Freddie Hubbard and that he is playing trumpet. No worries, though, that's just what happens on YouTube!

Freddie could be an asshole, but he had every reason to be pissed off... It got to a point that none of it was any good, just some ideas that lacked any real key center.. I loved Freddie's playing, but this was one that could easily be forgotten..

Think of how pissed off you get (assuming you're even a musician) when you're about to come up on an improv section and your pianist or drummer fucks things up for you. It's irritating to say the least. People don't realize that if the drummer or pianist fuck up ONE change or rhythm that it throws the entire song off.

Apr 14, 2012 - Quite right, it happens to the best of 'em. That's one reason why jazz is so exciting to play and hear. Most players can listen and catch up when they make a mistake, but if the bass player screws up the form then God help the rhythm section!

May 11, 2012 - A lot of people here are complaining about the part where the form is a little messed up but I actually like a song to have loose form. a perfect example of a great musician that often uses form in a loose way is Ornette Coleman.
