Mar 7, 2012 - Where I change colors, you can see a line that looks a bit "messy" (or you can see where I changed colors). Can this be avoided? It sticks out like a sore thumb to me!

Mar 9, 2012 - My third line always ends up 26 not 27

Mar 11, 2012 - What kind of yarn do you use and what size hook to get the adult size hat? I have bernat softee chunky yarn, what size hook would work?
tjw1963 mowi:
Mar 11, 2012 - I have never worked with that yarn so I am unable to make recommendations for hook sizes. If you look on the label, it should tell you the best hook size. I used standard 4 ply yarn and a size I/5.5 mm crochet hook.

Mar 11, 2012 - You can just ad an extra stitch or ignore the count difference. If it is fitting, one or two stitches will not make a big difference.

Mar 13, 2012 - What if your project is for someone with alot of hair, how would I increase after the 9th row?? Thanks! :)
tjw1963 mowi:
Mar 13, 2012 - You will evenly work more increase stitches around the cap. So maybe every 4 or 5 stitches, you will work 2 single crochet around the cap.,

Mar 25, 2012 - sorry i cant speak English very will but i try to explailn my question : i didn't understand round 10 after you make the top of the hat , how did you make the other part you join it before ?
tjw1963 mowi:
Mar 25, 2012 - I'm sorry but I do not understand what you are asking.
tjw1963 mowi:
Mar 25, 2012 - You would continue working increase stitches, which are two stitches in one stitch. You would want to skip 4 or 5 stitches between each increase, increasing evenly around.

Apr 26, 2012 - @TheChocolaa, After round 10 you just need to keep repeating the 55 sc until you get to length you want. (she did 24 more rows after line 10) I hope that helps.

May 1, 2012 - Teresa, I am one person who has no experience (totally) crocheting. Is this video really good for me or is there something else that I should learn before this one? like the terminology or just as you commented on one of your follower, the basic stitches...so where can I learn that? should I type...basic crochet stitches, like that?

May 10, 2012 - Hello Teresa. First of all I would like to thank you for your wonderful videos. I've made quite a few of your projects and I've enjoyed them thoroughly! I wanted to ask you something about this beanie cap, though. If I'm using only one color do I chain in between rounds or do I just keep going? Thanks!
tjw1963 mowi:
May 10, 2012 - You can just keep going with the continual round. Using this technique will eliminate the seam.
tjw1963 mowi:
May 10, 2012 - I would recommend a cap that does not change colors

May 22, 2012 - I have a question, so do you just add more increase rounds if you want the hat to be bigger?
tjw1963 mowi:
Mar 4, 2012 - You can work a chain and join to start. For this project, I recommend a chain 3 or chain 4
