Jul 1, 2011 - I don't think it matters much... I stopped paying attention a long time ago how many I'm subscribed to and how many are subscribed to me, especially on my main channel. The numbers don't mean so much as does the quality of the comments and interactions. We have made some great friends on here, and that's what counts the most.

Just leave them there, it makes people more likely to sub if they see other people enjoy your stuff, even if they don't exist anymore. The worst part of all is a good chunk of my subs are no longer receiving my vids. If anyone complains to you of that, have them unsub and resub, usually fixes it.

Jul 2, 2011 - yeah m8 i think quite a few of my subs are no longer there, but i don't worry about it! It makes my channel look more popuar than it actually is ha ha. As for people i am subbed to, i check all the channels every 3 month and of there are no new vids or the person is not interacting with my channel i unsub! They are always welcome to do the same to me if they so wish. Thumbs up bro!

Jul 3, 2011 - True. I used to delete the dead channels. There's a lot of "bot" channels, channels who have died or been deleted on mine. It depends on your purpose. If you want an accurate account of who actually watches your videos, then delete them or keep the sub numbers to help with partnership applications. It's up to you really.

Jul 3, 2011 - I've been doing the same type of thing for probably a different reason. For me it's theraputic. When I'm tired of YouTube BS or feeling overwhelmed, I drop a few subscriptions of people that seem to have vanished or drop a few subscribers that haven't commented in ages. I feel better afterward.
