May 27, 2011 - @MyChemicalJasper483 We're getting there, Chevy has 140bhp coming out of a 1.4, but it's designed for more fuel economy than the VW engine. I love American engines but drive a GTI :)

Jul 31, 2011 - Great milage but always problems with the turbo charger! Not cost effective. You are definitly better off, buying a 3.0 l v6 than this little money trap
dannyboy485 mowi:
Aug 17, 2011 - Nothing wrong with the turbo on this engine, just muppets treating turbo like crap ie. not letting turbo cool down before turning off, revving the shit out of it when its cold and not bothering to change the oil. Whats not cost effective about this engine?the extra fuel you would use in a 3.0 l v6 could buy the car after three years.

Dec 1, 2011 - There is no replacement for displacement. Large displacement, naturally aspirated engines last much longer than tiny turbo engines, and can run on regular gas, while these tiny overboosted engines require pemium, or you will lose all the power from the boost.

Feb 19, 2012 - The 122cv TSI motors VW are failing miserably. I knew a lot of TSI motors with 20-30.000km has broken, My Scirocco TSI 122cv has broken with 2 years and 38.000km, with the max care driving, the great filming, refueling in the best petrol station in Spain!!23.600€ for this?for I had a broken motor? If I know this before I had buying a HOnda or Ford or Bmw I am INDIGNANT, I sent a letter to VW Spain and their answer it was poor and empty!! IT`s my opinion and my sad personal experience!!

Apr 5, 2012 - pretty much... sad for us in the US. The only ones over here that "seem" to be on the right track is Ford with their Eco boost (also FSI technology, but lower power to keep with 85 octane fuel)

Apr 8, 2012 - The Germany technologie, is good but the mine is greater, see my incomplete new invention of diesel motor 2 strokes by valves, I can make a motor double better than the best Germany or other ones around the world. Can save the 30% of fuel and decreasing the size of motor to half.
