Apr 8, 2012 - For 1 screen? A bit overkill if you ask me... But a 7970 would fine.

Apr 16, 2012 - gonna have to go with gtx 580, even though i am not that big of a fan of that card. one 7970 is just not enough for 3 monitors. i have two 7970's and plan for a third for 3 screen gameplay.

lekgolo800 mowi:

Apr 16, 2012 - yea well i did go with the gtx 580 sli but i bought it from evga and steping up to gtx 680 because i was only able to get medium on 1.5gb of vram and if i did high it lags alot so im going for that gtx 680 i saw benchmarks of the crad getting 60 fps with no aa and mine cant even do that !!

mikeshorin mowi:

Apr 20, 2012 - you must be made of Benjamins

mikeshorin mowi:

Apr 20, 2012 - to all that are crazy and retar.... (I hate that word) ONE 7970 (reference, non-reference... W/E... Will be sufficient at STOCK with a STOCK CLOCKED i5 2500 OR BETTER for single-monitor 1200p gaming... anything in Surround or Eyefinity will require 2x 7970 or SLI'd 680s

mikeshorin mowi:

Apr 20, 2012 - Yeah, it looks more like spelling is your biggest concern

May 23, 2012 - the bigger the screen the better the resolution needs to be. So note, if your 24' has the same rez as your 60 then the 24 will look better. No performance issues will come about though. Most people wouldn't even care about the difference unless the 60' is a TV and not a monitor, cause monitors colors are exceptional compared to a tv. I would advice you spend more time avoiding 60hz then this line of questioning.

koncertLive mowi:

May 23, 2012 - I would also like to add a personal choice for gaming. I am not a fan of huge screens for gaming because your eye can not capture everything on eyefinity when you use massive screens. 24' - 27' is perfect. I use 24' personally but I would consider the 27' but only for 3 monitors. The 24' is perfect for 5 monitors. Widescreen for portrait and for landscape go with standard.

May 25, 2012 - Hi tom I need your help I can't find a solution to my problem, i recently bought powercolor 7970. my problem is that i can't get my second monitor to turn on, it's power light is blinking thats all..

Mike Zerker mowi:

May 26, 2012 - If your only getting the hd 7970 for playing games. Just go 1125mhz. 1200mhz isn't that important unless your into benchmarking.
