May 25, 2011 - So what exactly did this clip tell us that we couldn't read in the DSM-IV-TR? It didn't in the least address the valid criticisms of DID, like why is an almost exclusive North American phenomena. Or why do the alters only seem to manifest themselves in therapy when the therapist believes in DID? Or why do roughly half of America psychologist not believe in DID? If your going to study psychology using the scientific method, you have to be very skeptical of DID.
LBRTRN89 mowi:
May 25, 2011 - many psychologist believe that DID is the adverse result of therapy because the alters only seem to manifest themselves in therapy when the clinician believes in DID.

Jun 7, 2011 - I am a carer for someone with D.I.D. You wrote, "DID is the adverse result of therapy because the alters only seem to manifest themselves in therapy." This is totally incorrect. BTW, why do you have little detail on your YT channel?
carerofmanyfaces mowi:
Jun 7, 2011 - I live in Australia. Please check out my channel. You just don''t get the obvious truth. D.I.D. is ridiculed or marginalized in the mainstream because it protects the interest of the mainstream.

Jun 16, 2011 - think about this: In countries such as liberia, or other poverty-ridden foodless waterless countries where 70%of women are raped --- uh, those people are going to natrually dissociate from everything - it's the same caliber if not worse than north american familial brutality - That means that whole countries are going to have Dissociative identity disorder. And there's no psychologyinn those countries becaseu therapists dont exist because theirso fuckin poor so ofcurse its undiagnosed

Nov 5, 2011 - So true! Good video. I have this disorder. I was sexually abused as a child. I remember that pain. This is why I seem to lose myself in processes so quickly. thanks for showing me this!

Dec 12, 2011 - My Girlfriend has DID and recently I've done an annotated bibliography and a literature review on trauma and DID. For everyone out there there is HOPE. Brain imaging studies and neurological evidence will soon persuade the sociocognitive proponents and hopefully quell the stupid bullshit arguments over the validity of DID. DID IS trauma based, and CAN BE TREATED!

Dec 12, 2011 - Also it's closer to .15% of the population higher in the US but not by much, which is still HUGE! diagnosed it's only in the hundreds of thousands but there may be up to 4 million undiagnosed.

Mar 24, 2012 - For the benefit of the earth I'll need to write a playscript about Cody, in my previous short novel "The Child on the wrong side of his Ears" becoming an MPD sufferer with one personality exclusively signing, that personality being totally deaf in his mind (his name is Cody_d in his writing) and the other being Cody as he is at the time of the branch and continuing on as normal. Often, Cody_d will see Cody signing "I can hear what he/she's saying, may I interpret?" and he does.

Mar 24, 2012 - Try telling your others to think good thoughts and to contribute to a oneness. This process is called personality integration. Or, when you're conversing with one of your others, do tell them to remind the person you are talking/signing to that you've switched personalities. Better yet, you can use them in drama, asking them to only come in when you tell them to.

Apr 4, 2012 - Thank you friend for showing the general public the trials we go through every day! My clan is indeed appreciative of your kindness in the way you see those of us with DID so that maybe one day we can live life without the haunting secrets of our DIDness.. hehe! What you might forget to add, we DIDians usually have a great sense of humor! :D We'd not survived without it!
