Mar 27, 2012 - My dads a pilot and this happened to my family when I was really young too. He wasn't flying the plane but he told me that it was probably due to another plane occupying the same air space and altitude. It's rare but it happens. I remember my mom and sister crying there eyes out and my dad never even stopped reading the paper long enough to gasp. I was sitting next to him so I played it cool like a bad ass.
